Advent is here "Watching and hoping"

"Now we watch for the days, hoping that the salvation promised us will be ours when Christ our Lord will come again in his glory. The first Advent Preface highlights two aspects of the season: watching and hoping. The gospel reminder from Jesus that we are to stay awake is extended a little further.

The Month of October - Traditionally the month of of the Rosary

Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary Said on Mondays and Saturdays. The Joyful Mysteries are taken mostly from St. Luke's Gospel in the New Testament. They involve the joyful events of Jesus' childhood. The most joyful event in all of human history is the Incarnation or when God became man and dwelt among us.

First Holy Communion

First communion is to be celebrated in our Cathedral parish on the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.(June 7th) Recently Pope Francis reminded us bishops that it is important for children to properly prepare for their first communion, so that there is no child without this sacrament. The Eucharist is a firm step towards Jesus, along with Baptism and Confirmation.
